In Reply To Greg, are you saying the boost pressure pulsates hence posted by AzHeat on April 30, 2004 at 01:42 AM

Message You are correct that it is hard to see on a boost gauge, But the compressor is surging when it gets an exhaust pulse and it can not be as efficient at filling the cyl's when the intake valve is not open when then surge occurs.

In my experience it is the little things that matter.

I hear people say, ohhh one small thing will not hurt or it can not matter that much. I am here to tell you that it is the little things that add up and make a huge difference in the end.

I have a customer that had installed the Apollo front mount on his car himself ( I will not install them or sell them) and we recently went to the dyno.
With all the other supporting mods this car has I have always been able to squeeze at least 400rwhp out of same set up with side mount intercoolers. The most I could make on this car in the safe range with race fuel was 380 rwhp.
His car is also overheating.......I explained how the different designs work and he is now installing stillen side mounts and we will be going back to the dyno soon to see the difference.
I am sure I can easily get this car over 400 rwhp by just changing to the side mounts.
We will soon see :)

This is not the case with all front mounts, Just the ones that flow from one side of the car to the other.
The type that run back to the same side work just like side mounts and do not eliminate the cross flow design of the intake manifold.
